We invite you to participate as a member of Glucksman Ireland House at New York University and advance its dual mission of excellence in academic study and the presentation of cultural events to the New York public.
Since its inauguration Ireland House has evolved into a vibrant and invigorating center for the presentation and understanding of Irish and Irish-American culture and scholarship. Each semester Ireland House hosts its Public Events Program which features lectures, readings, film screenings, conferences, and performances, offering the public access to the most notable contemporary artists, scholars, writers and political figures. Membership contributions are vital to continuing this spectacular events series.
Our distinguished visitors include Seamus Heaney; George Mitchell; Martin McGuinness; Brian Friel; Liam Neeson; U2's Bono; the former President of Ireland, Mary Robinson; the former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, Jean Kennedy Smith; Roddy Doyle; and the late John McGahern.
Our accomplishments to date have depended on the support of individuals who believe in the importance of our work and who appreciate the opportunities it offers for themselves and others. We thank all of our loyal supporters for their participation and we hope that they continue to renew their support. For those who have not yet joined, we ask you to consider doing so and thus help us make our future even brighter.
