17 February John P. Harrington, author of The Irish Play on the New York Stage, presents a lecture on “Image and Reality: American Expectations and the Irish Play.”
19 February Oíche Airneál: an evening of Irish traditional song and conversation entirely in Irish with Pádraig Ó Cearúill.
26 February Edna O’Brien reads from her new work.
2 March “The Origins and Influences of Celtic Music,” a lecture and musical demonstration byNew York’s Whirligig.
5 March Dr. Margaret O’Callaghan of Queen’s University,Belfast, presents a lecture on “Ulster Unionism, British Government Policy and the Peace Process.”
7 March The Visual Reel--a screening of Irish and Irish-American documentary films on traditional dance and music.
