26 January       “PoetsPass By!” with the W. B. Yeats Society ofNew York.

10 February     Irish film series: The Country Girls, with an introduction by Edna                                       O’Brien.

17 February     John P. Harrington, author of The Irish Play on the New York Stage, presents a lecture on “Image and Reality: American Expectations and the Irish Play.”

19 February     Oíche Airneál: an evening of Irish traditional song and conversation entirely in Irish with Pádraig Ó Cearúill.

26 February     Edna O’Brien reads from her new work.

2 March           “The Origins and Influences of Celtic Music,” a lecture and musical demonstration byNew York’s Whirligig.

5 March           Dr. Margaret O’Callaghan of Queen’s University,Belfast, presents a lecture on “Ulster Unionism, British Government Policy and the Peace Process.”

7 March           The Visual Reel--a screening of Irish and Irish-American documentary films on traditional dance and music.

10 March         Whirligig presents an evening of Irish music.

23 March         Fintan O’Toole presents the lecture “Green, Black and White: Racial Ambiguities inIreland and Irish America.”

25 March         “Commemorating 1798,” a panel discussion chaired by Seamus Brennan with Kevin Whelan and Thomas Bartlett.

2 April             Anne Haverty reads from her debut novel One Day as a Tiger.

9 April             Dr. Carol Coulter, the founder and general editor of The Irish Reporter, presents a lecture entitled “The Hidden Traditional Women, Feminism and Nationalism inIreland.”

16 April           Oíche Airneál: an evening of traditional song and Irish conversation with Pádraig Ó Cearúill.

22 April           Dr. Sighle Brenathnach-Lynch lectures on “The Search for a National Identity: Expressions of Ireland’s Nationhood in Bronze and Stone.”

14 May            Irish film series: The McCourts of Limerick, a documentary about the McCourt family, directed by Conor McCourt, with an introduction by the director.

16 June            Jameson global Bloomsday reading, featuring a global live webcast of Ulysses by James Joyce.
