 Mike Rafferty

Flute player Mike Rafferty is an ageless marvel still going strong well into his eighth decade. A native of famously musical Ballinakill, County Galway, Mike is the finest living exponent of the old-time east Galway flute style. He has had an enormous influence on many younger Irish-American musicians in the New York area. Mike’s musical resumé includes three outstanding recordings made with Mary and his 2004 solo disc Speed 78.  For this performance, Mike will be joined by his daughter Mary Rafferty (formerly of Cherish the Ladies) on accordion and his son-in-law Donal Clancy on guitar.

Admission is free for Members of Glucksman Ireland House and NYU students with valid NYU ID.
$15 at the door for all others. No advance tickets.
